Story
After years of hardship, fighting through personal adversity, and rebuilding my life from the ground up, my commitment to never quitting — especially for my kids — has finally paid off. With the support of the City of Claremont and the Claremont MakerSpace, I became the first Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR). My start was slow, with several major life changes happening at once, but once I settled into the studio and began working, I felt incredible!
Playing and writing music again awakened a part of me that had fallen into the abyss and remained dormant for far too long. Music is healing. Building guitars by hand has deepened my understanding of the instrument while giving me a meaningful craft to pour myself into when I’m not playing.

22 Frets exists to help others through servicing every instrument that comes across the bench. Whether repairing, restoring, or building, each instrument is treated with the utmost care so musicians can play their best music.
